There's no place quite like the 49th State. Alaska offers a landscape unique and awe inspiring at nearly every turn. From the might of its wildlife to the mystery of the aurora there's always an adventure to seek and something spectacular to see.
I'm lucky enough to live in this wonderland and often find myself trying to capture a bit of its beauty and majesty in one way or another to share with those not living the AK life as well as those, like myself, who never tire of this magical, ever changing scene we are a part of.
Finding inspiration is easy when standing on a sparkling blue glacier or beneath a burst of aurora. Translating that magical feeling that comes with those experiences into art is a bit trickier. It requires something unique that dazzles the eye.
That is where Shatterscapes came to life. While nothing will ever be the same as standing in the vastness of the Last Frontier with the sky dancing above while the cold bites your nose, these pieces aim to bring just a little of that sparkle home.
